Volunteer at your local badminton club

Published by Owen on

SBC is run by a group of volunteers who give up their spare evenings and weekends to make the club happen.

We would like to build a small team of volunteers to help build the club’s community and capacity.

In the first instance, we’re looking for volunteers to spend around half an hour helping with admin at some of our club nights.

We ask that you:

  • Are an SBC Member
  • Volunteer at the occasional club night, perhaps once every two months (there’s no minimum commitment, and this will be organised by an online calendar / rota and message group)
  • Tick attendees off on the register and collect session fees
  • Register new players via an online form
  • Give the above paperwork and money collected to the lead organiser

In return we’ll offer you:

  • The remainder of the club night free (e.g.  if you finish the admin within half an hour, you get the remaining hour and a half of badminton for free)
  • Training/shadowing to get you set up, and we’ll supply the paperwork
  • A thank you at the end of the year
  • A reference for your time volunteering with us
  • A warm fuzzy feeling for helping the club and fellow players!

If you would like to get involved or have any questions, ask any committee member, or send us a message on Facebook.

We’ll get back to anyone we’d like to invite to get more involved.

Thank you, and we look forward to hearing from you!
