As part of our Big Night Out on Friday 4 October, we’ll be giving out players’ awards.

Most improved player of the year

Unsung Hero – someone who goes above and beyond for SBC

• Darren Reynolds – for his encouragement of Open 2 as their team captain this year
• Johnny Malynn – for continuing to support the club and helping to set up most Wednesday nights
• Laurie Gould – for his help at Improver Club Nights

Spirit Award – someone who demonstrates the ethos of SBC as a positive and friendly face at the club

Spoon of the Year

• Amy Claydon – for continually catching the shuttle instead of hitting it
• Morgan Lowther – for re-joining as a 2024/25 long-distance member from New Zealand

We will also be awarding a Players’ Player of the Year – as voted for by our members! Submit your nomination.
