After a successful meeting which took place with Members at Southsea Village this evening, we’re pleased to share the following:

Committee Election Results

Chair: Owen Devine was re-elected 

Secretary and Membership Officer: Oliver Ing was re-elected 

Treasurer: Johnny Malynn will step down from the role which he has held since the club formed in 2018. We would like to thank Johnny for his continued service and we hope to see him continue playing on court with us. There was no Member who stood for the role of Treasurer. In lieu of this, the Chair and Secretary shall share the responsibilities until the committee appoint an acting officer. We would like to thank Johnny for his continued service and we hope to see him continue playing on court with us.

Communications and Socials Officer (Shared): Lianne de Mello was re-elected alongside Hayley Cook who was also formally elected as a job-share.

League & Development Officer: Thomas Mundy was re-elected. Aaron Geall will step down from his acting role, and we would like to thank him for his contribution to the club over the past few months

Welfare Officer: Abi Velasco was formally elected.

Committee Vacancy – Treasurer

The role of Treasurer is currently vacant, so we’re looking for someone to take up the position. Here’s what it involves:

• Jointly responsible with the Chair for the Club’s finances.
• Responsible for all the financial commitments of the Club.
• Will keep records of income and expenditure for the purpose of HMRC’s requests.
• Will continue to provide regular updates to the Committee regarding the financial status of the Club and will plan provisions to ensure sustainability.
• Will provide a financial summary at the AGM for the previous year.

Updated constitution

The Membership voted in favour of the updated and simplified constitution. This will be available on our website shortly.
