It’s been a bit of a rocky year for our and other indoor sports.

Between Covid and venue uncertainty, it was possible we wouldn’t get to return to court at all in 2021!

A successful return to court

We were delighted to settle on our new venue of Portsmouth High School and get into the swing of running weekly club nights again.

Among the changes were a new booking system to manage our over-subscribed sessions, and going paperless and cashless for simplicity and safety.

Our autumn in numbers

It’s been brilliant seeing faces old and new, as we all tried to remember how to play badminton!

Here are some stats from our club nights since September:

13 club nights run between September and December

75 different players through our doors

400 shuttles used (roughly!)

1560 minutes of club night play

4 players jointly share the accolade of being the most loyal punters, attending 12 sessions each

Share your feedback

Though we feel the club is going well so far, we want to hear from you, the players. So we’re launching our 2021 Player Survey.

Tell us your thoughts on everything from what our welcome was like, to our website, from our booking system, to our facilities.

If you’ve been at our club nights since September, we want to hear from you:

It’s quick and easy, taking only a few minutes to fill out.

As a thank you for your time, you can leave your name at the end to be in with a chance of winning a free entry to a club night in the new year.

Thank you again for all your support, and your time. We wish you a wonderful festive break, and see you in 2022!
